Understanding Keyboarding

What Keyboarding is all about

The keyboard is the most common input device on computers today. In this class you will practice typing almost every day using a program called typing tutor. It is important to understand that the only way to get good at typing is to practice. As we begin talking about typing, some things to think about:

  • the national standard for a 6th grader is to be able to type 25 wpm--how fast are you?

  • there are many other input devices---what are three?
