China is an important country to the study of the Eastern Hemisphere. For this China Web Quest, you will be working together in teams to learn about different aspects of Ancient China or Modern China.

You will be a part of a group or team responsible for one part of this project. Each team will produce a presentation board similar to a Science Fair or Project Reach board. Each team will also present to their class. Each member of the group will take the lead for one role as well as be a contributing member of the team for all roles. These roles are explained below.

Lead Researcher: This team member is in charge of finding the information required for his/her team's part of this project. Information can be found using the links listed on this site as well as from books found in the classroom, our textbook, CD Rom encyclopedias, and other reference books.

The facilitator will organize materials and supplies as well as communicate with teammates by phone after school hours if needed. This is a leadership position. Other teammates need to realize that this person may be giving instructions to ensure that the team is successful.
Artistic Director: This team member is responsible for the graphic design of the team's display board. This display will be on poster board. The artistic director supervises the overall look of the board and makes sure that the visual presentation criteria are all met.
Editor: Your assignments must be presented neatly, preferably done on the computer. It is the editor's job to see that assignments are presented in final draft form of publishable quality with no errors. This person should have good typing, revising, and editing skills.
