In this assignment, you and your partner will come up with a problem or question, collect data, and put together a 2 minute presentation that shows and tells what you found out. You must create a graph in excel to display the data. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Identify a question or problem

This could be a survey question (what’s the best band, favorite food, etc.), what
school has the best test scores, which team has the best record, who can jump
highest, what’s the highest mountain, etc. If you are studying something in another class that you can collect data around, that will even work. Be sure you get a sample of at least 50-100 if you are doing a survey.

2. Collect Data

Be sure you get a large enough sample to prove your point. Bonus points for dealing with two or more sets or related data (example: favorite movie, grade, and gender).

3. Enter the data into your Excel spreadsheet

Identify exactly what you will be charting and the type of data you want to get back. Put titles into your spreadsheet, then add the data. Use numbers only!!! Be sure to fill all necessary cells.

5. Create a graph

Think about what kind of graph would be the best to show your results. You may Use line graphs, bar graphs, pie charts, or a scatter chart. You may want to even draw it out first so you know what you want as an end result. If one graph doesn’t work, you can try another.
